JUDGMENT / ORDER

IN THE SUPREME COURT OF INDIA CIVIL APPELLATE JURISDICTION CONTEMPT PETITION NO.84 OF 2005 IN CIVIL APPEAL NO.573 OF 2005 SAJJAN TEXTILE MILLS LTD. PETITIONER VERSUS K.V. KAMATH & ORS. RESPONDENTS WITH CONTEMPT PETITION NO.163/2008 IN CIVIL APPEAL NO.573 OF 2005.
O R D E R We do not find any ground to initiate any contempt proceedings in respect of these petitions. Accordingly, these Contempt Petitions are dismissed. If there be any contempt notice, that will stand discharged. However, rejection of these contempt petitions shall not prevent the petitioner from taking appropriate steps before appropriate court.
In view of the aforesaid order, Mr. T.R. Andhyarujina, learned senior counsel appearing for the applicant, who has moved I.A. No.2/2005 – an application under Section 340, Code of Criminal Procedure read with Sections 196, 199 and 200 of the Indian Penal Code, does not want to press the alleged offence of perjury. Accordingly, all interlocutory applications also stand disposed of.
