JUDGMENT / ORDER

1. Leave granted.
2. The parties have compromised their disputes. Mr.
Sanjay R. Hegde, learned counsel for the petitioner on instructions from his client who is present in Court, undertakes to pay Rs. 2.50 lakhs by way of a bank draft in addition to an amount of Rs. 14.50 lakhs already deposited in court, within a period of two months from today.
2. We, accordingly, permit respondent No. 2 to withdraw the amounts which have already been deposited along with interest accrued thereon. As the parties have compromised their dispute, we compound the offence and set aside the conviction of the appellant and order his acquittal.
