Considering the peculiar facts and circumstances of the present case, we are of the view that the compensation amount which has been fixed by the Central Administrative Tribunal, Patna Bench, Patna as Rs.5,00,000/- (Rupees five lakhs) be enhanced to Rs.7,00,000/- (Rupees seven lakhs). We order accordingly. We have been informed that Rs.5,00,000/- (Rupees five lakhs) have already been paid to the appellant. We direct that the balance amount of Rs.2,00,000/- (Rupees two lakhs) be paid to the appellant within two months from this date. With this modification, the appeal is disposed of. There will be no order as to costs.
